Fire and Evacuation Planning *
* All buildings (except Class 1a and Class 10) must have a Fire and Evacuation Plan
and Emergency Evacuation Signage installed
• Site visit
• Develop and document:
- Evacuation Coordination Procedures
- Instructions for evacuating the building
- Instructions for operating fire‐fighting equipment
- Procedures for giving instructions and training to people working in the building
• Install emergency evacuation signage
• Install Fire Safety Document cabinet
Budget Accommodation Buildings **
** All Class 1b buildings must comply with the requirements of MP 2.1
and MP 6.1 of the Queensland Development Code
• Full service from initial consulting and fit out to fire brigade compliance inspection
• Includes (but not limited to) installation of:
- Emergency lighting
- Hardwired smoke alarms
- Fire fighting equipment
- Fire Safety Management Plan (FSMP)
- Common area and individual room evacuation signage
- Escape type door furniture
- Ongoing scheduled maintenance of fire safety installations
Exit and Emergency Lighting
• Full service from simple scheduled maintenance to new installations and repairs
Building Fire Safety inspections
- A less formal approach to determining if a building meets the regulatory requirements of current legislation, codes or standards.
- A report is provided highlighting deficiencies along with specific requirements and recommendations to bring the property up to scratch
- Includes references to areas of non-compliance and highlights any exposure to possible infringement.
